In 2016, half of the millennials in America didn't vote. While there are many reasons why someone might not vote, the most common was uncertainty around voting. It's important to remember that for a lot of them it was their first election.
For comparison, over 85% of millennials own smartphones. They make up the most digitally sophisticated generation in history. Unfortunately, government voter registration systems haven't kept up so non-profits and companies have stepped in to help simplify the process.
Now they need our help as app developers to drive traffic to the tools that have helped millions of people register and turn out to vote.
